We're only a few days away from the event and we're super excited to bring you the event guide and site map so you can check out the layout and what's happening in the city. We can't wait to see all 800 of you! (Yes, we're almost sold out)
Find out about the theme camps, art and what/where/when in the event guide online at: http://www.theforgottencity.org/event-guide.html
You'll also be given a printed guide at the greeters camp. If you want to get all techy then you can also check it out on your smart phone by downloading the app: http://www.gomobile.events/attendees.html
Want to know where to camp? Check out the site map here: http://www.theforgottencity.org/site-map.html
Open Camping is any blue area outside of the two circular rings.
Google map your way to "1000 Yucca St, Boulder City, NV" and follow the directions here (there will be obvious signs on Yucca St):
RVs? Dump + Water
Whilst there are no facilities at the Event, very close by at Canyon Trail RV Park (http://canyontrailrvparknv.com 1200 Industrial Rd, Boulder City, NV 89005) they do. You can dump and fill with fresh water for $10. If you are wanting to stay before or after the event they have availability for $40 a night.
Consent: Its as easy as a cup of tea
At Forgotten City we want participants to feel safe and respected (harassment and violence is not tolerated), so with that in mind please check out this fun video on what consent is and what is appropriate:
Here are some basic rules on the allowed sound: 5am through 11am is quiet time. Midnight through 5am sound will be limited to 80db at 20ft (checked with DB meter). If you feel the sound is too loud then please do not hesitate to contact the nearest person with a radio (Manager On Duty, Greeters or Gate). Finally, if your sound camp has no one on the dance floor we'll ask you to turn down your music. The full sound policy is available online at: http://www.theforgottencity.org/sound-policy.html
Make sure your camp is safe by covering any stakes with tennis balls or pool noodles or better still use a sand bag or water container to anchor your tent.
At the gate you will be given a non removable wristband. Over 21 gets black and white, under 21 gets pink and black. If you leave the event you will need your ID, ticket and wristband to re-enter. If you see someone without a wristband then please contact the nearest person with a radio (Manager On Duty, Greeters or Gate).
Plan to Stay
We provide ice on Saturday and Sunday at 10am at Center Camp. You should plan to bring everything you need to stay. Re-entry is a hassle, remember that one of the principles of Burning Man is radical self reliance.
Lost and Found
The official lost and found is at Greeters camp.
Tickets are transferable. Just click on the QR Code in the your email to transfer it to someone. Note: you can only use a ticket once. There are no "day passes". If you attempt to sell a used ticket we will provide your information to the police on behalf of the person being scammed. Vehicles will be checked by security staff for stowaways: if caught the whole vehicles occupants tickets will be voided and your vehicle turned away.
Finally: EVERYONE NEEDS A TICKET! THAT INCLUDES VOLUNTEERS, THEME CAMPS, ART INSTALLERS, EVERYONE!
